Claddagh Hostel is a small 40 bed backpackers hostel in the heart of Galway. It is located just off Eyre Square and 1 minute from the Train and Bus station. Unlike the larger hostels, this has a warm intimate friendly feel to it where everybody knows everybody. It is ideally suited to the young international backpacker who is looking for adventure and to meet other young travellers from around the world It has 3 dorm rooms and a number of small twin rooms ( WITH BUNK BEDS ). It is well run, clean and friendly and you are sure to have a good time and make new friends here. We offer a large fully equipped kitchen as well as a cosy living room with a large selection of DVD'S. We have a large number of books for our guests as well as many board games for you to play with other guests. Our internet cafe is free of charge and so is tea and coffee all day long. If you are moving to Galway we can give you advice on employment as well as helping you find appartments, how to get your PPS Number and how to set up your bank account. Weekly rate is available for only ?80.00 per week from OCTOBER to FEBUARY. Book your first night online and when you arrive we can organise your weekly rate ( from Monday to Monday ). You can stay for FREE on your birthday ( just show your ID card when you arrive. We give away a free iPOD every 3 months to one of our hostelworld guests. We sell the cheapest tickets to ARAN ISLANDS, CLIFFS OF MOHER and CONNEMARA in Galway City. Twin Rooms have a bunk bed ( 1 bed above the other ) and most have a wash hand basin and a mirror inside.   • Then when we arrived at our rooms we were appalled to discover that the walls were damp, the wall paint was dated, chipped and dirty, the windows are all outdated and ancient making the paint on the frames cracked form the build up condensation (they should've been replaced years ago) and worst of all our bed clothes were not clean and unchanged.2009-02-04 -

  • My stay in this hostel was a terrible experience, the first of the problems began when my boyfriend and I entered the property to make our bookings and found the receptionist did not speak fluent English making all sorts of issues in our booking and organising of rooms.2009-02-04 -
